Dating differences between us uk
I have had several long term relationships and, if one were to judge the number of contacts made and dates gone on, then I've been rather "successful" with the internet dating.
I am an American that has lived and worked in London for just over four years as a literary agent.
Whether a sign of creeping cultural imperialism or just an excuse to get bladdered on Bud Light and eat undercooked hotdogs, I'm unsure.
However, it's made me think about the differences between us and our pals across the pond.
In the US I was very successful with men, but here it seems that though I have long dates that go on for hours with laughter, interesting conversation, and sometimes even a kiss, the men never want to see me again!
But how do daters in the UK actually differ from daters in the US?We girls do need to know what we want, and realize that when we’re not getting it, it’s time to move on. Here is what I find about dating in London (though maybe all of the UK is like this too, I hope not). Here is what I learned in my years as a single girl in London: They don’t get dating in England. This undoubtedly says more about the type of men I go for than it does about North American blokes as a whole.
But I cannot tell you how often I hear the same from British women.
You obviously encountered a like-minded gaggle of girls at this social gathering.
